June 2 Fri Depart from New York (JFK) – Non–Stop Turkish Airlines
Flight TK 2 departs at 20:45 – Fly Istanbul

June 3 Sat Arrive Istanbul Airport
Arrive Istanbul at 12:20. Our representative will meet you after the customs and baggage claim with a "Food & Wine–Tutku Tours" sign. Meet and greet. Transfer to the hotel for check–in. Tonight, dinner at outdoor Darüzziyafe Restaurant, famous for its Ottoman recipes. It entertains its guests in a historical ambiance by harmonizing the delicious heritage of the past with the modern understanding of taste since 1995. Overnight in Istanbul. (D)

June 4 Sun Istanbul
Discover the Byzantine and Ottoman treasures of Istanbul. Visit the Royal Topkapı Palace, home of the Ottoman Sultans, the Blue Mosque, unique with six minarets, the Roman Hippodrome Square and the St. Sophia Church which is considered one of the world’s greatest architectural marvels, and the Spice Bazaar, one of the largest and oldest covered bazaars in the city where the exotic, oriental aspect of the city stil survives. It is the best place in the city to find spices, herbal teas and traditional Turkish foods such as Turkish Delight (Lokum). Dinner at Çınaraltı Restaurant, the most beautiful place on the Bosphorus where blue and gren meets in İstanbul. (B,L,D)

June 5 Mon Izmir
Morning flight to Izmir. Arrive to the Izmir ADB Airport. Meet and transfer to the city center. Visit the Dario Moreno Street, the Old Elevator with a panoramic view of the Izmir Bay, the vivid Kemeraltı Bazaar and the authentic Hisarönü Mosque. Have lunch at Lokanta Restaurant, a traditional homecooking restaurant. Taste the freshly grounded Turkish coffee after the exploration of the Kızlarağası Han Caravanserai. At the end of the Kemeraltı Bazaar there is the famous Konak Square where the symbol of the city, the grand Ottoman Clock Tower stands. Have dinner at Balıkçı Seyit Restaurant, with its seafront location, its enchating sight, extraordinary sunsets and delicious fresh calamari of the Aegean Sea. Overnight in Izmir. (B,L,D)

June 6 Tue Tire, Torbalı, Izmir
Drive to Tire. Tire is one the most important residential areas of Izmir. From Antiquity to the present day, this town which has hosted many civilizations has also become the symbol of tolerance. Tire was a village where Muslims, Christians and Jews lived in harmony. Walk around the city center to see many old buildings, hans, baths, mosques, churches and synagogues. Visit the Tire Tuesday Market, which is very famous. This is the largest farmers market in Turkey. Have a lunch at Kaplan Dağ Restaurant situated in the mountains above the town of Tire. On the way back to Izmir at Torbalı, firstly visit the Key Museum which houses the most extensive collection of antique cars, motorcycles and memorabilia in Turkey. After a short drive visit the Lucien Arkas Vineyards, the largest organic vineyard in Turkey on a single lot. Return to Izmir. Dinner at Mezzaluna Restaurant, with its accesible quality approach to the exquisite delicacies of the Italian cuisine. Overnight in Izmri (B,L,D)

June 7 Wed Klazomenai – Alaçatı – Çeşme
Drive to Klazomenai, was an ancient Greek city on the Aegean Sea coast. It was one of the first cities to issue silver coinage and the first olive presses in Anatolia. An olive oil extraction installation from 6th century BC and olive storages from 3000 BC were found here. We can see here, the reconstructed olive oil press. Visit the Urla village. Walk around the narrow streets. Have a lunch at Beğendik Abi a local restaurant. The cuisine of Urla is famous with its artichoke meals. You can also try a best dessert artichoke. Drive to Çeşme peninsula, on the western edge of Turkey. Çeşme means fountain in Turkish and the area is famed for its therapeutic hot springs and thermal bath. Visit the Alaçatı town. This picturesque village is mainly built of old stone houses and many little narrow alleys. History and times meet here together. Drive to the hotel for check–in. Enjoy the beach of your hotel. Dinner at a Cevat’ın Yeri local fish restaurant in Dalyan fishing village. Overnight in Çeşme. (B,L,D)

June 8 Thu Ferry to Chios – Chios Tour
Depart early morning from the hotel. Transfert to Çeşme port. Sail by ferry to Chios. After a short trip we will arrive Chios island. First, drive to the medieval Village of Pirgi. On the way, you will pass through The famous mastic villages. Chios is the only place in the World where the famous mastic tree grows. Mastic has been used as a medicine since antiquity and is stil used in traditional folk medicine of the Middle East. Drive to Pirgi which is the most colourful of the villages with its unique black and white geometrical decor of the outside walls on the houses. Visit the 12th century Byzantine church of the St. Apostoles. Free time for lunch in Mesta. After lunch, visit the Village of Mesta, which is considered to be the finest example of its genre. Visit the largest church on the island ‘’Taxiarchis’’. Stop at the village of Armolia, where you will be given the opportunity to visit the renowned workshops in order to admire the process of making clay and ceramic articles. Drive back to the hotel in Chios city center. Dinner at one of the most popular taverns that we choose for you. Overnight in Chios. (B,D)

June 9 Fri Ferry to Çeşme – Urla Wineries – Kuşadası
Morning ferry to Çeşme. After passport control, visit the downtown of Çeşme before leaving. Visit the majestic Çeşme Castle which is over 500 years old. The castle houses an archaeological and a naval museum. Visit the Ayios Haralambos church; 19th century Greek Orthodox Church. This fully restored church is used for temporary exhibitions. Then drive up to the Çakabey Hill for wonderful panaromic view of Çeşme Bay. Drive to Urla through its vineyards. Visit some of the wineries of Urla. Taste different wines and have a late lunch at Urliçe Winery. Urliçe Vineyards is a family owned and operated boutique winery. They are located on the Aegean coast in the town of Urla, where they have been practicing viticulture over centuries. The main goal at Urliçe is to Express the potential of this ancient viticultural terroir with their vineyards of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz. Drive to Kuşadası to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Kuşadası. (B,L,D).

June 10 Sat Ferry Samos – Samos Tour
Early morning transfer to Kuşadası port. Sail by ferry to Samos. After Passport control, start our Samos island tour. First, visit the main points of interests of the island, including the Lion Square and Wine Museum. Free time in the center of Vathy. You will have the opportunity to take a cup of Frappé; a Greek foam–covered iced coffee drink made from instant coffee. Continue our tour by driving to Kokkari, with its beauty of painted, cute houses with blue windows and narrow streeets. Free time for lunch in Kokkari; experiencing the worldwide known Samos Wine and delicious Greek cuisine. Especially a fresh grilled octopus. Drive to Pythagorion, village of the Pythagoras who is known as the father of geometry. Drive to Vathy port. Sail by ferry to Kuşadası. Dinner and overnight in our hotel in Kuşadası. (B,D)

June 11 Sun Virgin Mary House – Ephesus – 7 Sages Winery – Kuşadası
Drive to Selçuk. Visit the House of the Virgin Mary, located on the top of a mountain 5 miles ahead of Ephesus, the shrine of Virgin Mary enjoys a marvelous atmosphere hidden in the gren It is the place where Mary may have spent her last days. Then visit the famous ancient city of Ephesus, once the most important commercial center of the western Anatolia, is one of the highlights of Turkey that awaits the exploring tourists. See its marble streets, fountains, temples and more. Lunch at the local handicrafts centre where you will observe the handmade Turkish carpet making techniques of the local women. On the way back to the hotel visit ‘’The Yedi Bilgeler Winery’’. It is located in the same region where the Seven Sages of the Greek philosophy were born, lived, drank wine and introduced their philosophy to the world. The Seven Sages of Greece or Seven Wise Men was the title given by ancient Greek tradition to seven early–6th–century BC philosophers, statesmen, and law–givers who were renowned in the following centuries for their wisdom; Cleobulus of Lindos, Solon of Athens, Chilon of Sparta, Bias of Priene, Thales of Miletus, Pittacus of Mytelene and Periander of Corinth. Dinner and overnight in our hotel in Kuşadası. (B,L,D)

June 12 Mon Şirince – Kuşadası
Drive to Şirince Village, a combination of Turkish–Greek habitants in 1920’s. The village was settled when Ephesus was abandoned in the 15th century. Come across local women in the authentic narrow streets of the village, selling handcrafts of all kinds, olive oil and handmade soaps. The village is also famous with its wine and you have the opportunity to visit a wine house. You can taste and buy several kinds of wines, from apple to strawberry. Have lunch at the Bizim Ev Restaurant and tasting local foods. After lunch, free time. Drive back to our hotel in Kuşadası. Farewell dinner at Macit Fish Restaurant on the bay. Don’t miss the pan fried small red mullet of the region! Overnight in Kuşadası. (B,L,D)

June 13 Tue Izmir Airport – Fly back to New York via Istanbul
Transfer to Izmir airport. Domestic flight to İstanbul at 09:50, then connect to your international flight back to New York. End of our services. TK 1 departs İstanbul at 13:15 and arrive JFK 16:50 same day. (B)
